Desktop Support Engineer L1 - (Roles & Responsibilities)
MS Outlook configuration, Backup & Restore & troubleshooting for any connectivity issue
Installation of OS and software compatible with Laptop/Desktop system.
Printer Installation and sharing in LAN
Perform remote assistance & troubleshooting.
Maintain network / Internet connectivity in an infra
Update and upgrade systems in routine.
System Restore , Recovery / Data backup in case of OS /hardware issues
Antivirus installation and monitoring with routine tests
Should have knowledge to prepare a patch/station cable with UTP / STP wires
Work with existing vendors to evaluate new technology.
Routine test for Preventive maintainance of devices
Advise executives on the best technological solutions for an organization.
Monitor the performance of a company's desktop infrastructure and provide suggestions to improve efficiency.
Test, install and set up application programs on user workstations.
Education & Certification
Graduate with 1 year of DIploma in Hardware & Networking
OR
Polytechnic Diploma of 3 years in CS/IT
Experience
0 - 6 months as a Trainee Engineer.
Certifications (Not mandatory)
Certifications will be an added advantage for a desktop support engineer. Some certifications to consider include the following:
Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
