Desktop Support Engineer L2 - (Roles & Responsibilities)
Must be a Graduate with 50% in each standard i.e.
10th - Minimum 50% marks as per mark sheet
12th - Minimum 50% marks as per mark sheet
Graduation - Minimum 50% marks as per mark sheet
Note - Candidates having Distance education documents are not eligible , No education gap should be between 10th, 12th and graduation.
Troubleshooting desktop / laptop OS issues.
Support for standard software issues, workstation Software image(s), base Software components, Hardware devices and components that comprise the standard desktop Hardware.
Isolate system issues; diagnose standard software issues and report hardware issues to respective Vendors.
Installation / re-installation / configuration of systems, printers, scanners.
Configure desktop and laptop as per the desktop/laptop standardization policies of customer.
Installation / re-installation / configuration of in-scope client software / applications
Installation / configuration of e-mail clients
Troubleshooting e-mail client related issues
Troubleshooting printer / scanner related issues

Troubleshooting issues related to standard office software’s (MS Office Word, Xls, PowerPoint etc.) and internet client
Support for local area network issues (LAN), DHCP client
Install antivirus software and check virus definition auto updates
Install approved patches onto desktops / laptops.
Configure Print Queues for Servers / Users / Groups
Troubleshoot print queue related issues
Configure appropriate rights and permissions for accessing printers
Remove virus from respective desktop / laptop with the antivirus software
Education & Certification
Any Graduate with 1 year of DIploma in Hardware & Networking
OR
Technical graduates with knowledge of hardware and networking.
OR
Polytechnic Diploma of 3 years in CS/IT
Experience
1 year to 2 years as a Trainee Engineer OR min 6 months as a Desktop Support L1 Engineer.
Certifications (Not mandatory)
Certifications will be an added advantage for a desktop support engineer. Some certifications to consider include the following:
Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
